CRISPR is my favorite patent because of its transformative potential in biotechnology. CRISPR allows scientists to precisely modify DNA to research and treat a multitude of diseases and illnesses. With just a few tweaks, scientists can target specific genes to cure diseases, improve crops, or even create new therapies. Recently, scientists have developed a drug using CRISPR to treat sickle cell disease!
