Dan Goudie is a former electrical engineer with experience in patent prosecution, patent application preparation, invention mining, and patent portfolio strategy before the USPTO and the EPO. He is a qualified European Patent Attorney and a qualified UK Patent Attorney, currently working towards qualification before the USPTO, and has been working with patents since 2017. Dan has managed diverse patent portfolios, including technologies in consumer electronics, medical devices, power electronics, imaging devices, financial technology, software, and AI/machine learning inventions. He has experience drafting patent applications and providing guidance during the early stages of the patent process to startups and individual inventors. Prior to joining K&B, Dan was a Patent Attorney at a leading patent firm in London, England. Before his career in IP, he worked as an electrical engineer in the lighting control industry and later in power electronics for the aerospace sector.

Outside of preparing technical patent arguments, Dan enjoys attending Broadway shows, cycling through Central Park, and tending to his growing collection of houseplants.
